My name is Ciprian Jichici and I am the General Manager of
Genisoft, a consultancy, training, and software development company based in Timisoara, Romania. My key technological interests are Software Architecture and the Microsoft Application Platform. I am a big fan of Business Intelligence (especially Data Mining), Application Lifecycle Management, Microsoft .NET, and Cloud Computing.
I like a lot to talk to people and share my knowledge and experience. This is the main reason why I have an academic career too. Currently, I am a teaching assistant at the
Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science from
The West University of Timisoara. I teach database and software development courses and I must tell you, I love it. Besides teaching, I do research in the field of data mining in preparation of my PhD thesis. Take a look at the

In January 2004, I was invited by Microsoft to be a member in the
Microsoft Regional Directors program. Membership in this program enabled me to join a select group of elite technology professionals chosen by Microsoft for their passion for technology along with the ability and willingness to share their knowledge with the community. In addition to the great opportunities to talk with a lot of IT professionals, I enjoy early access to technical information which gives me and my business an important competitive advantage. As a result of my work related to software solutions architectures I was awarded in October 2006 by Microsoft with the
Most Valuable Professional - Solutions Architect award. Membership in the Solutions Architect section of the MVP program enabled me to join another select group of IT professionals sharing a common interest (and passion of course :) ) for one of the most important (if not the most important) things in IT: architecture. My country
Romania is a member state of the
European Union. After almost 50 years of communism and another 20 years of painful transition, the time for a real change has come. This is why I am also actively involved in politics as a member of the
National Liberal Party. I strongly believe that young Romanians have the moral obligation to get involved in public and social activities where they should make the difference. The

I can't imagine life without my family, my first business partner, and my close friends with whom I love to spend quality time. I also love to drive my BMW, watch Formula 1 and WRC, play basketball, football and tennis, and swim. Chess, martial arts (which I studied for more than 10 years), and sumo had a major influence in shaping my philosophy of life. Lately I’ve discovered the fantastic worlds of quantum physics, relativity theory, and string theory which I study as a hobby.
