Microsoft released a very interesting pilot solution for machine translations. Here you can find a bunch of Vista-related articles that passed through the translation engine. What's really cool is that you can read the original article in English as well as the translated one in parallel. Seems to me that we are closing up the gap in this field, although I'm pretty sure there's a lot left to be figured out...

We have a saying in romanian, there's no smoke without a fire. There's certanly a fire going on in Bear Creek, Redmond... Hmmm... Although there is absolutely nothing official from MSFT yet, rumors are spreading. An interesting one (again, there is nothing official) can be read here.

My fellow RD Stephen Forte just published on his weblog the Call for Developers to participate in one of the coolest software projects ever!!
I can tell you right now if you think you've got what it takes to be part of a large, distributed project having one of the noblest objectives possible, then you must read Stephen's blog entry.

It's finaly out! The long awaited Analysis Services 2005 Performance Guide is now available. In this 120 page long document you can find a lot of very interesting and usefull information about the behavior of the new OLAP engine in SQL Server 2005. In my personal opinion, this is mandatory read for all folks working with AS 2005. I can also tell you that I am especially proud to see among the authors two romanians: Cristian Petculescu and Marius Dumitru!
